Marketing Specialist

Working within a busy Marketing Department, the ‘Marketing Specialist – Lifestyle’ is expected to assist and support the marketing function for the Pressure Area Care and Safe Patient Handling Product Categories.   Responsible for supporting and creating clear marketing materials (both traditional and digital) for the afore mentioned categories.

This position reports to the Marketing Manager – Lifestyle

The successful candidate is a clear communicator and possesses a level of education to provide high quality communication material to support Invacare’s marketing activities.  The ideal candidate must also have the drive and ambition to progress further through the organisation.   
In addition, the candidate will be expected to train in Invacare specific applications, such as Oracle – QAD, CRM, CMS and ELOQUA. 

Responsibilities
Gain specialist knowledge of products within the Lifestyle product categories to an extent in which the candidate can create high quality marketing resources thus allowing strong messages relating to Invacare’s products and services to all its market sectors.
Create, support and manage documentation and marketing materials. Use traditional and digital communication channels, both internally and externally.
Working closely with the Marketing Manager and Senior Product Specialist to provide a key role in supporting marketing activities: such as promotions, bulletins and brochures.
By creating and using a range of digital marketing methods, influence our target audiences B2B and B2C, with tools such as video, e-books, web sites, microsites and blogs.  Immersion in Social Media activities to provide a ‘face to Invacare’ to raise the profile of the Lifestyle product categories whilst ensuring synergy with Invacare’s wider product offering.
Gain a clear understanding of the market, through desk and face to face research. Continual exposure to the market through field visits and attendance at exhibitions and conferences is an essential part of the role.
Some UK travel will be required, with future expectation for European travel when required.

Requirements
  • A highly enthusiastic team player.
  • Personable, hardworking and flexible with a positive ‘can- do’ attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills.
  • The ability to prepare high quality communications with flair and attention to detail.
  • A specific marketing qualification is required. This can be provided for the right candidate.
  • A flair and appreciation for digital marketing and the use of social media.
  • Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office), Excel, Word, Power point and Outlook or equivalent. Desk top publishing skills are required, such as In-design applications, Adobe Acrobat. 
  • Full UK driving licence.

European Product Manager

Invacare is a leader in the manufacture, sales and distribution of a complete package of innovative home and long-term care medical products that make a difference to people’s lives. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, talented European Product Manager to be end-to end responsible for our established portfolio of Mobility Products within the Lifestyle category including Scooters and Walking Aids. Reporting to the EMEA Head of Product Development, this position will be based at the Invacare site in Pencoed, South Wales. The ranges are marketed and sold with a global reach, therefore you will be expected to travel frequently within Europe and possibly the APAC region.

Key responsibilites:
  • Development of a robust long term strategic plan to translate the product vision for the Scooter and Walking Aids product categories to generate consistent profitable growth.
  • Responsible for the profit and loss of the category with the leadership of segmentation, positioning and pricing.
  • Portfolio management to optimize business targets
  • Support the development of tactical plans at country level with appropriate messaging, sales and training.
  • To develop a deep understanding of the market including comprehensive competitor analysis. To manage and disseminate of product and market information throughout the organisation.
  • Collaboration with internal partners to create define customer and product requirements, develop business cases, lead, prioritise and support projects to develop new features to improve the customer experience. Identify unmet and new business opportunities.
  • Manage timely and cost-effective product launch delivery.

Qualifications and experience:
  • Educated to degree level.
  • Proven experience of Product Management in B2B and B2C environments including the successful introduction of new products and services.
  • Comfortable working with other cultures and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong sense of accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and deliver value.
  • Strategic, analytical, strong communication and outstanding presentation skills.
  • Experience of medical devices and the healthcare industry is desirable.
  • Fluency in English, other European languages desirable.
  • Passion.
